On the Road

Finally... after plowing and shoveling and packing... packing and more packing... I hit the road for Aiken SC this AM with good friend and fellow horse-woman Bobbie Cohen, plus one supposedly sedated cat. We had an uneventful 11 hr. drive ending up at a Days Inn in Carlisle PA, just south of Harrisburg. There is still snow on the ground and its STILL below freezing.

Tomorrow's drive will get us to Aiken in the late afternoon and I hope to warmer temps.

Stay tuned.

BEventing Team Departs for Aiken!

I am writing this just 24 hours after loading Irish & his buddies on the van to Aiken.  One hour ago, Babette texted to say that the van had just arrived with all occupants in good shape.  Irish however, had broken his halter 3 times, though we are all suspecting his neighbor Tahd was the actual culprit.
Below are some pics I took during the loading.  Many thanks to TJ of Potomac Horse Carriers for getting our charges safely and happily to their southern abode... you are awesome!

Next up is getting myself, office, cat etc. packed and on the road this coming Sat.  Mother Nature is not going to be very nice though... dumping another 8-15" of the white stuff tomorrow, ugh.

First, the FOOD:

Emily Merrill handing over Doug...

                     no problem.

Matty wasn't so sure this was a good idea...

... until he felt the famed "TJ Cheek Pinch".

Irish says... "I know what to do, (tho I may not want to do it right away)"

Tahd.."yum, nice halter you got there Irish.  Looks tasty".

Irish: "the halter's all yours... I get the hay"

We were delighted to see that TJ is accompanied by a fearsome Security agent.

If any one tries to bother the horses... they'll get licked to death!!

Time to head SOUTH!!

Said Irish after we got about 2 feet of snow last week.  He ships to Aiken SC this coming Monday and I will follow on Saturday!  We'll be there for 2 months getting back into riding mode.
Meanwhile, Irish manages to enjoy the snow with his buddies.

Joining the Blogosphere

I'm not one to spend much time frequenting blogs. The few I check out are technical (see list below) and obviously related to photography, digital imaging, Photoshop, etc. But as my business expands I need a better way of keeping in touch with my current customers and hopefully catch the attention of new ones.

This will be the place where you can ask questions, make comments and suggestions. I can keep you informed of my activities, travel plans, and specials. My new sister-site is up and running and will grow with more card & poster selections. I hope you will take time to visit www.hpxdigitalimagery.com, and let me know what you think.

So here it is... Welcome to my blog about everything "Hoof Pix".
